HP RP3440 WON'T STAY POWERED ON???

Unit displays Amber LED during power up but is unable to stay powered and shuts off shortly after power up.

You need to log into the MP, go to the SL menu and check the logs to see what the error is.

The information give so far is nowhere near enough to make an intelligent diagnosis.

Yes, checking MP SEL helps to understanbd the problem. The text mode output probably tells you what problem caused your power shutdown clearly.

Re: HP RP3440 WON'T STAY POWERED ON???

Hi Jim,

how long it takes from power on to power off?

Just in case, search the MP logs for "overtemp" "fan fail" or "cover open" messages.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
