In CM I did an PS and says

Re: HP RP4440 SERVER WILL NOT POWER ON

Hi!!

Check to make sure power is connected properly. Aside from that, perhaps one or both power supplies are belly up.

Re: HP RP4440 SERVER WILL NOT POWER ON

That message from *both* power supplies?

I think we can rule out the "disconnected" part: if both PSUs were disconnected, how would the MP get power?

Please see page 48 of this document:

Note that this server requires at least 180 volts AC to run. Plugging it to an 110V outlet won't work.

Another possible cause would be a brown-out at your site. Get an electrician to check the voltage & power quality at the sockets you intend to use for your rp4440.

Re: HP RP4440 SERVER WILL NOT POWER ON

Hi,

something like this may also happen if the AC power was lost between 0.3 an ~ 1 second.
I would recomend to unplugg both power cables for ~ 30 seconds and try again.
You can check the power supply status with the "ps" command in the MP cm> menu.
If you have no physical access to the system, you can try to reset the BMC with the "rb" command.
Of course, it can also be a hardware problem with the BMC or the power system ...

Re: HP RP4440 SERVER WILL NOT POWER ON

hi

please log a case with HP Support. I think they shall analyse the System Log Events.

The system log codes shall perhaps give a better idea what is happening over in the system, the SL logs seem to be the only hope of analysis if the power supply at the site is good.
