HP Service Guard Cluster configration for Hp unix 11i partitioned systems

Dear All

We have two hp server rp8400 and each server has the following :

1. 8 CPU
2. 16 GB RAM
3. 4 HDD 36GB Each
4. Three fast ethernet cards
5. Two Fiber Channel cards

We have SAN EVA3000 Array 2c2D and Two fiber switches 16 port each and we have Two OPS License for the two server and Two secure path for the two servers also.and Two MC Service Guard (HA) Software for each server.

And we partitioned each server into two partition by npar technology hardware level

how can we make clustering between those partitioned nodes?

If there still any requirments are needed?

Can we achieve the nspf (no single point of failure) in this enviroment?

Thanks all

Hi Dave,

To achive NSPF, you have to make two node cluster forming Server1Par0, Server2Par0 same as Server2Par1, Server2Par1.

But you will have redudencies at server level,

try to put two FC card per partition which will make FC also reduendent.
Otherwise ensure each parition Fc card connect to two differnet SAN switch.
