HP UX 10.20 9000/800 Copy from boot disk to another fails
I am trying to make another bootable disk to iinstall in another server. The process starts but when it stops the screen does not get a prompt back and I can no longer telnet to the server. The leds on the two drives are on solid. Any idea as to why the copy is not ending pproperly? Disks are the exact type.

Re: HP UX 10.20 9000/800 Copy from boot disk to another fails
Hello David
Though its a quite old system, OS version, for me it seems the dd command hangs.
It could be because either one of the disk may be bad or have some bad sectors.
You may check for any HW erros/events.
