HP-UX Mp Mod "Connected"
I tried to access the MP3 mode using the " RS232 " cable but it stops at " Connected ". (Key input has no response.)
How do I fix it?
I am using Xshells.
P.S
I tried Mp Reset and server reboot!

Re: HP-UX Mp Mod "Connected"
There are hundreds of RS232 cables but almost no way to verify the wiring for pins 2 and 3 , the transmit and receive. There is a 50% chance you have the wrong wiring, therefore no communication. You need to find (buy) a 9pin crossover adapter. This is has also been called a null modem adapter. All it does is to swap the transmit/receive wires. It is a male-female adapter so you just insert it in front of the 9pin connector on your cable.
The other item to check is your terminal (or PC program) settings. The default is 9600 baud, 8bits, 1 stop bit and no parity.
If you have other servers, you should try the cable and crossover to see if the PC or terminal actually works.

Re: HP-UX Mp Mod "Connected"
The cables are using the same ones as the photos attached.
I was using terminal settings as you told me. ㅜ.ㅜ
The same problem occurs on other servers.
Is it a cable problem? Is it a cable problem?

Re: HP-UX Mp Mod "Connected"
The cables have the correct connectors. But since they do not work, then wiring is incorrect.
You need to purchase a crossover adapter. A picture is attached. Since serial cables are not used much anymore, it will be difficult to find this adapter in a local computer store.. However, Amazon has these available. The picture shows the adapter. Use the description: db9 null modem adapter
Without this adapter, the cables won't work.

Re: HP-UX Mp Mod "Connected"
you need to use the console/UPS/remote port and the special 1to3 M or W cable!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
