HP-UX on recovered hp 9000 / 817s.

Would it be possible to boot a new HP-UX 11.0 CD from an external NEX multispin CDROM? Or is this machine consigned to Debian 3.0 linux?
IP Managment IS fun.

Attach the drive, boot the system, interupt the boot process, then enter "SEA' and see if the drive is shown as a bootable device. If it is, then try booting from it!
