shut down, open the K box, unplug power from the cd, reboot.
If it boots all right, then the CD is bad.
If not, there is proably a problem on the scsi chain/cabling something like that.
While you have the box open check for obvious unplugs and stuff.
Or do what I'd do, an HP hardware call.
