Hi Everyone,
Weve encounter an issue with the communication between the library and K580. the library seems working fine and there has been no changes on it, however, the server had panicked & crashed several times. I've attached the HPMC log from the cstm infolog. it seems there's an I/O Module error with Bus 0 & 2.
Bus HPA Module Type Path Slt Md Sev Estat Requestor Responder
--- ---------- ---------------- -------- -- -- ---- ----- ---------- ----------
0 0xfff88000 I/O Adapter 8 2 0 he 0x0d 0x00000000 0x00000000
0 0xfff8a000 I/O Adapter 10 2 2 he 0x0d 0x00000000 0x00000000
2 0xffb3f000 Bus Converter 10/63 15 3 se 0x07 0xfffa2800 0xffb08803
2 0xffb08000 A DMA I/O 10/8 2 0 fe 0x13 0x00000000 0x00000000
We need to know what component do we need to change. We already changed the I/O board and the HSC F/W scsi card and we still have the same issue and error.
The server is a K580 - A4837A and not updated with the FW and patches cause the user doesnt want it updated and doesnt have any HP Maintenance.
What component is Bus 0, I/O adapter and Path 8??

Solution
Path 8 is the path from the bus converter (system board) to the 4 slot HSC expansion board.
Bus 0 is the processor bus.
Both have the system board in common.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HPMC Error
Thanks Torsten, do you think I need to change the system board for this one?
