Re: HPUX 10.20 B - K-Class 9000 Server SERVICE LIGHT ???
"We do have a Disk Array so I guess the Service Light is regarding the Disks (Even worse).
All the Disk Drives look healthy (green).
K-Class on top Disks at the bottom."
Ok, you're disks are healthy, there is a problem with the Nike.
"The Server is on our remote site, so whats best for remote monitoring in order to find out what the Service light is complaining about?"
Either login w/ gridmgr1 id (see my first post) or
SAM -> Disks and FileSystems -> Disk Devices. The double-click entry for Model 20 LUN. "View Array Status Information". Look at the entries on the "Back" tab.
"Last year we had a faulty Disk. We had it replaced and left the Raid array migrate data to it. should we have run a command to clear the Service Light????"
Nope...BBU (battery) failure will set that service light (and disable cacheing as well).
Check as noted above and procede accordingly. Post results if needed for further info.

Re: HPUX 10.20 B - K-Class 9000 Server SERVICE LIGHT ???
Get the following info and post - this will clear the doubts:
# ioscan -fn
run mstm and locate the device "C2300" (if it is there) and run the "info" tool.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
