Hardware consolidation

Hardware consolidation

Hello,

We've got 4 Npars of one cell and one npar of two cells. On of these had 2 vpars on it.
We want to create only two npars with these ten vpars.

- One with 4 cells and three I/O chassis (slots 0,1,2,3)
- One with 2 cells and 2 I/O chassis. (Slots 4 and 6)

what about having several I/O chassis in a Npar? Can we give a vpar for exemple 3 cards in each I/O chassis ?

Regards
Patrice
Good judgement comes with experience. Unfortunately, the experience usually comes from bad judgement.

Re: Hardware consolidation

Patrice,

There is no problem with having several I/O chassis in an nPar.

vPar I/O cards can be any subset of the parent nPar, so spreading a vPar across multiple I/O chassis shouldn't be difficult.
