How many OS instances can be installed in SD32A server

Hi,

I have read that SD32A server support 8 cells * 4 CPUs. Please let me know maximum how many OS instances can be installed in SD32A servers. How will be the cost benefits if I consolidate my data center with HP SD32A servers.

You can install 1 per nPar or maximum 8 with vPars per nPar.

Let's say you have 8 cells with 8 I/O chassis, you can create 8 nPars with 8vPars each (theoretical value!) = 64 OS instances.

You can also increase the number by using Integrity VM software.

But if you don't plan to use VM's (Virtual Machines then Torsten's limits apply.

# of Cells with an I/O chassis gives the nPar count
# of CPU cores gives the vpar count
