How much is my server worth ?

I have a 3 year old L-Class rp54xx server with 2X PA8700 750MHz CPUs, 2X 36GB HotPlug disk (internel), 10X 36GB HDD that fits into a Disk System(JOBD), 1X Ultrium 230m tape backup. Does anybody have an idea of its possible market value today ?

As a trade-in against a newer system, most vendors would give you a few thousand dollars for it - maybe $3000 to $4000.

Well it depend on how much RAM goes with it...
With 6GB RAM here you would get about 10'000 SF...(about 7'700 US$)

Hi,
bad news I am afraid. The system you describe is not worth that much anymore (3 years old).

If you want to sell external to your company contact your local Computer reseller and see whether you can do a part-exchange against an upgrade. Internal reuse however is perhaps the best re-use.
Some old K class model were worth about $200 dollars externally, but were re-used for conf management, saving buying a new machine!
