How to Acertain an rp8420/SuperDome has the SX2000 chipset?

We are studying potential upgrades to Integrity platforms. And I thought I read somewhere that SX2000 based chipsets on PARISC can be in-place upgraded to Integrity Hardware (Itanium2) -- Is this true?

And how do I know if I have the SX2000 chipsets on my frames?

Re: How to Acertain an rp8420/SuperDome has the SX2000 chipset?

Hi,

for the rp84xx it is easy:

rp8420 - sx1000
rp8440 - sx2000

see
http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/mid_range/index.html

For the superdome I guess the modelstring (ends with "B") will tell you, like:

ia64 hp superdome server SD16B

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
