Re: How to Modify MP Lan TERM setting on an rp8420 ?

Hi Nelson,

From the CM prompt:

CM> LC #For LAN Configure

Then it's just a series of questions & confirmations from there.

Oh & I forgot - when you're done you'll need

CM> EL #For Enable LAN access

Re: How to Modify MP Lan TERM setting on an rp8420 ?

Sorry Nelson, I misunderstood your question.
I don't see it as well, so it's either been removed or is now undocumented.
But I never seem to have any trouble with backspace or such. It will display ^[[C for right arrow & ^[[D for left, etc so I don't use them. And I "think" that might indicate it's expecting vt100. But I'll have to test that.
I know that the GSP defaulted to vt100 & I'd bet they carried that through to MP.

It's defaulted to "hp".. so my workaround in th emeantime is I go to an X environment, launch "hpterm" and we are golded...

Cool - thanks for the info.
Saved me going in & hooking a 700/96 to it & verifying.
I'm filing that one away in the ole noggin.
I always wondered *why* they defaulted GSP to vt100.
