How to check MP revision

Hi,

Can anyone advise how do I check MP version?
I did some reseach, and i guess there is 2 way to do so.
1) machinfo
2) MP>CM> SYSREV

So which one is the correct one?
both option output alot of information, so which one is the same as GSP version.

Re: How to check MP revision

The second is a good one. The first won't tell you the MP FW version.

What server you are using?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

"Which firmware is same for GSP in those older system??"

Every generation of MP/GSP has a certain software.

In the SYSREV output, the MP entry is the MP firmware. Why not post it?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: How to check MP revision

For this type of system different component firmware is a whole bundle.

You have bundle version 4.00 installed. This is not bad, but there is also a bundle 4.1.

If you consider to upgrade, I would recommend to arrange a HP onsite.

Hope this helps!

Re: How to check MP revision

You can compare your output with the release notes of all available firmware releases.

To make it easier, you can copy this data from all release notes to a table and compare then. No joke.

I remember there was a table on the web, but i can't find it.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: How to check MP revision

FYI - Here are the release notes:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=447687&swItem=PF-COLYEIG0410&prodNameId=346366&swEnvOID=7&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=0

If you download the package, you will find a sample SYSREV output inside the PDF file.

Anyway, contact HP for an upgrade. You can easily do something wrong and damage your hardware.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
