How to dump all SL logs in GSP

I'm achieving all SL logs in GSP to be submitted to HP . But it requires manual input '+ CR' to display all logs . Is there any way that I could dump all logs into the screen and i could capture it via putty logging for instance .

GSP Host Name: test-gsp
GSP> SL

SL

Select Chassis Code Buffer to be displayed:

Re: How to dump all SL logs in GSP

Hi,

There is no way to dump all logs in GSP as like MP. You have to keep pressing enter key to collect all the possible logs

Re: How to dump all SL logs in GSP

n00body,

Perhaps in GSP there is not much facility to save log or dumps, you can save it from putty log capture:

In Putty --> go to Logging --> All Session output --> GSP-SL-Log.txt

Open the putty session --> connecto to GSP-->

In GSP , while in SL -->
Type CR for next entry, Q CR to quit

Press Carriage Return untill you reach to the end of the log.

Once you reached end of the log quit, GSP ad check the file GSP-SL-Log.txt (Remove unwanted entry ) and thats your GSP SL log.

Cheers,
Raj.

Re: How to dump all SL logs in GSP

Hi Raj ,
Yes , I've done the steps that you mentioned earlier , however there are too much logs because the server has not been rebooted for quite some time . I'm finding the way to display the logs all in one shot without keying in CR at each page .

Anyway , thanks for your input .

Re: How to dump all SL logs in GSP

It depends on machine model and firmware if you have a dump option or not:

GSP> sl

Chassis Logs available:

(A)ctivity Log
(E)rror Log
(L)ive Chassis Logs

(C)lear All Chassis Logs
(Q)uit

GSP:> e

To Select Entry:
( or ) View next or previous block
(+) View next block (forwards in time)
(-) View previous block (backwards in time)
(D)ump entire log for capture and analysis
(F)irst entry
(L)ast entry
(J)ump to entry number
(V)iew Mode Select
(H)elp to repeat this menu
^B to exit

Here is (D) for dump available.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
