How to save GSP Lan settings

How do I save GSP Lan setting so that I don't have to reset them all over again after shutdown/reboot? I am using Putty to capture the log when boot but each time I have to do this.

thanks

Re: How to save GSP Lan settings

From the GSP console, run LS command to display GSP LAN settings

GSP:CM> LS

To configure GSP LAN setting, run LC command from GSP

GSP:CM> LC

For additional details refer the Service Console (GSP or MP ) User Guide.

Re: How to save GSP Lan settings

No CM in GSP.

From GSP prompt run LC (LAN config).

Each modification will be saved without additional command. When finished, reboot the GSP.

Non destructive tests :

1. Parameters checksum

2. I2C access (get Power Monitor status)

3. LAN access (PING)

4. Modem selftests

5. Secondary I2C access (get System status)

Type R to reset the GSP or Q to quit the diagnostic menu.

-> Choice: r

The GSP is now being reset...

Re: How to save GSP Lan settings

A simple reboot of a server should not cause a loss of the GSP lan settings.

However, if you power off the server, or lose power to the server, and the GSP lan settings disappear, then the battery on the GSP card is likely dead and needs to be replaced.

Re: How to save GSP Lan settings

our model is RP2430. I did as Torsten said. I am trouble-shooting and need to replace an io card. I did remove the power cord since I need to take it out of the rack. But each time I have to set the Lan settings. I will replace the battery on the GSP as Patrick has suggested. Thanks everyone!
