ICOD on rp4440

Does anyone have the answer to whether ICOD is supported on rp4440 servers? I saw it available on rp5400 but nothing on rp4440.

I did a bit of research for you. According to an HP website:

iCOD B.06.x is available for the following HP enterprise servers:

HP Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23):
Superdome
rx8620
rx7620
HP 9000 servers running HP-UX 11i v1 (11.11) or HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23):
Superdome
rp8420
rp8400
rp7420
rp7410

ICOD has been renamed Instant Capacity. The rp34x0 and rp44x0 also don't support vPars or Instant Capacity, while the larger cell based rp74x0 and rp84x0 and Superdome will. Clearly, this is a marketing decision, not technical. I would speculated that lack of demand, longer time-to-market, development/test resource constraints and adding complexity/cost to monitor Instant Capacity for the entry level servers were factors in the decision. But this is just speculation on my part. At the entry level, many customer scale horizontally (scale out with multiple servers), rather than vertically (scale up with greater SMP), while in the mid-range and high-end server, almost by definitiion, those customers are looking for a scale up solution.
