ILO MP

In ILO MP - in the GUI screen - we have Remote Serial Console? So for that

Does the Remote Serial Console use encryption

If it does use encryption тАУ what level of encryption is used, ie. 64 bit, 128 bit

Re: ILO MP

hi,

it probably depends upon which server in reality and what the firmware level is as it varied abit on the security side, over the years

remote serial connections where originally used for modems connections

but see this extract from the manual

Privacy: iLO MP uses SSL for Web connections, RSL-RC4 encryption for the remote serial console, and
SSH-DES3/DES128 2.0 recommended encryption algorithms for SSH-based connections. You can enable
or disable telnet, IPMI over LAN, Web, and SSH connectivity.

page 25 for the security bit

Re: ILO MP

Hello Andy,

Actually that answers my question. from Page 25.
Privacy: iLO MP uses SSL for Web connections, RSL-RC4 encryption for the remote serial console, and
SSH-DES3/DES128 2.0 recommended encryption algorithms for SSH-based connections. You can enable

Thank you..
