Re: Identify internal/external disk on k370 server? is it hot swappable?
Usage: vgchange
{-a Availability -q Quorum [-l] [-p] [-s] [VolumeGroupName... ]}
{[-S shareable] -c cluster VolumeGroupName}
{[-P parallel_nomwc_resync_count]}
"a": A value after option must be supplied.
Should I deactivate vg?
if so, please give me a hint?
in hp ux 11.11 is there -a y option or what is the difference?

Re: Identify internal/external disk on k370 server? is it hot swappable?
LVM Online Disk Replacement (LVM OLR)
feature
http://docs.hp.com/en/7161/LVM_OLR_whitepaper.pdf
but it is not avail in 11.00.
Since the disk is already in NO_HW status, just confirm that vgdisplay is showing the disk c0t14d0 as unavailable - then remove it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Identify internal/external disk on k370 server? is it hot swappable?
Usage: pvchange
[-A Autobackup]
[-s] |
{[-S Autoswitch] [-x Extensibility] [-t IOTimeout] [-z SparePV]}
PhysicalVolumePath
More arguments required.
What can I do if I dont have that option?

Re: Identify internal/external disk on k370 server? is it hot swappable?
Then replace the disk and restore the configuration on the replaced PV and activate the VG using vgchange -a y
Hope this is clear now .
