Impossible to power on 3440
Hi,
we have experience problem to power on 3440 machine although all power modules are operational and are ON, system does not come up to the boot main menu, the only last log record
is :
Log Entry 354: 23 Oct 2006 18:33:11
Alert Level 3: Warning
Keyword: Type-02 076f03 487171
No events were received from system firmware
Logged by: Baseboard Management Controller;
Sensor: Processor
Data1: FRB2/Hang in POST failure

There is a failure in the system that is preventing the system from booting. You'll need to contact HP for service.

Hi,
Agreed with the above update, there seems to be very critical issue with the system hardware which is not allowing to boot the system to OS.
I strongly suspect the CPU to be deconfigured..can you power cycle the system and try once.
Also can you upload the MP logs for further diags..
Get a case registered with HP as well..

Hi, thanks a lot for Your replies, but it seems like hw failures,there is now signs of life from machine exept MP console, anyway HP technician is on its way to perform HW replacement.
