Is it normal for Ignite backup to update /stand/ioconfig?

The /stand/ioconfig file of my site's HP rp5430 server was updated after running an ignite backup. Is it a normal behavior? I'm sure that no hardware configuration changes were made during the backup.

O/S version: HPUX 11.00
Ignite version: B.4.4.29
Backup command: make_tape_recovery -Av -a

Re: Is it normal for Ignite backup to update /stand/ioconfig?

Hi,

Did the file change (besides the timestamp) ?

make_tape_recovery uses the ioinit command during the recovery to backup the io config files. Could be the command just updates the files.

Hope this helps,
