i can┬┤t find the connector for the vga-style 15-pin d-sub video connector.

hi,

These servers do not ahve graphics output as standard.
You would need to have one of the optional video cards installed, but these have a evc type interface. you would then need an evc-vga adapter.
The only ones that came as standard with graphics are the Kx60xp versions.
It is normal to just configure/use a serial terminal on these hp9000 servers.

there are two types of graphics cards that can go into the K class servers, the A3519A and the A2999A. The A3519A is an Visualize-EG card that goes into the HSC slot on your K box, it has an EVC out-put port so you would need an EVC to 15-pin Dsub adapter cable (1253-0635 - $17.00 at HP) to use this one. The A2999A is a 1280x1024 2D graphics card and it has a 15-pin Dsub out-put on the card so no adapter cable is needed. HP Part Surfer says both A3519A & A2999A are no longer supplied but they are commonly found on ebay.
