K-Class Chassis Code OFF 00EC
Can someone help me decipher this code that I received on a K580 front panel?
OFF 00EC
I was unable to get into the server from the console. I looked at the LCD panel and saw that message. The power was on, so I went back to the console and went into the service mode. I was to "see" the last 50 messages, but unfortunately they were all the normal RUN messages- nothing to indict a problem. I have been searching the hp for an hour and I can find anything. Can someone shed some light on this for me or at least point me in the correct direction to keep looking?
Thank you in advance.

Re: K-Class Chassis Code OFF 00EC
Hi ,
Looking to the OSTAT and CODE it seems that your server's
Key switch in Standby. Power cord installed.
Check whether machine is up or not.
Try to turn the machine key so that it can run the server.
Thanks,
-pap

Re: K-Class Chassis Code OFF 00EC
The server was on- that's not the problem. All of the K-classes here have the switch set in the same position- that was actually the first thing I checked. There are also no SHUT messages in the "display the last 50 codes."
BTW, thanx for the doc link. I was looking for that. I have it bookmarked now.
I can't seem to find anything in that doc to help me decipher what 00CE means. It says that OFF is the machine state. I understand that. However, "00" and "EC" are not used.
