8 months ago i had this need with a T520 machine
I bought 2 36Gb 10rpm seagate SCSI-160 and a HVD-LVD converter from
http://www.cselex.com/converter-extender-features.htm#6895
you can use it with this converter, but i don't remember if you will have enough space to put inside the disks cage of you K machine.

Boot firmware might not recognize the drives either. With the prices coming down on new equipment and even old equipment being better and faster than the K-class, it might be time to consider a trade-up.
