K360 CPU 2 & 3 not recognized.

Hello,

We have a K360 server with CPU0 & 1 working fine.

We got some sape CPU A4837-62003 and tried to upgrade our K server.

Once plugged, the system does not even boot on PDC.

On the front pannel we have Error Code 10 FC and 11 FC (tried 3 CPUs and 4 CPUs).

I know that CPU 0 & 1 are 180 Mhz + 1 Mb but can not confirm that our new CPU are compatible or not (got from K 380).

Any Idea plz ?

The CPUs in the Kx80 series machines were 240 MHz CPUs.

I almost certain that the CPUs from the K380 will NOT work in the K360.

You're right about your original CPUs. They are 180 Mhz PA8000. The ones from the K380 are either 200 or 240 Mhz PA8200 and thus incompatible with your system board. In order to utilize them you would have to upgrade the board, which would make the original CPUs incompatible.
