Is it possible to put a LVD card in a K420 to use a 2100 disk system? Or use a Fibre Channel or Ultra2? I need to speed up disk i/o and want to farm out to an array. My options are between 10 and 160 MB/sec. I'm not sure if I can do this in a K420.

Solution
Hi Greg:
There is no LVD SCSI card available for a K-box but there is a Fibre Channel card, an A3404A. If you wish to attach LVD SCSI devices to a K-box, you will need a HVD/LVD bus convertor but that will not give you the bandwidth you are seeking.
Regards, Clay

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
