K460 Boot Error

I have a K460 that was newly ignited. Having issues when trying to boot.

LED Display:

"INIT CEDF
LAUNCH CPU0123"

Console:

Unknown NIO card type 0xa7
ISL Booting HPUX
Boot
. (8/8.8.0.225.0.9.0;0)/stand/vmunix
4241580 + 466944 + 622624 start 0x1893e8

After that it hangs and we've let it run for 20 minutes with no other actions.

Re: K460 Boot Error

The "unknown card" is IMHO related to a missing driver.

It looks like you are booting from a fiber channel connected device - this may take a while ... the kernel will search for all accessible devices and loads the (installed) drivers ... first check if all the connections are good.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: K460 Boot Error

You are correct, there is a Mod30 connected 8/8.8 and the OS is from an Ignite image of anther K460.
How long should I wait for the server to boot?

Re: K460 Boot Error

The fiber card installed is an A3404A. Is this card bootable?

Re: K460 Boot Error

Correct, the Mod30 is connected directly to the K460 to two A3404A cards.
