K580 Server Down
One of my K580 server went down unexpectedly. The server is totally dead. The display pannel on the server is not showing any information.
We have chnaged the power cable and the power supply box and still the system is not showing any information. Still the system is dead. No power is passing in to the box.
Do you think the mother board is dead? Please let me know if you have any idea.
Thanks,
Nikee

Re: K580 Server Down
Also no power is passing into the box. The front light doesn't glow, the fans doesn't kick in, nothing is happenning.
Thanks,
Nikee

Re: K580 Server Down
There is no motherboard. Looks like the backplane is dead.
Hope this helps.

Re: K580 Server Down
1) The breaker that controls the outlet the K580 plugs into.
2) The UPS, if there is one.
3) The Power distribution unit if there is one.
4) The key on the K580 - Turn it off and then back on.
5) I can't recall if there is a master power switch on the back of the box on the K580 or not. If there is check it.
6) Power switch on the rack.
7) Any fuses in power strips that may have blown.
