Kernel Configuration....
Guys,
Need help on this one, i have to configure the kernel parameter of my unix box, but this time this is not an HP-UX system but instead a SOLARIS OS... Hope you can help me cause i'm not that familiar with solaris. My wild guess is just to edit the /etc/system file using vi,save then invoke init 6 to restart the server or like in HP-UX you will still have to build a new kernel then compile, move then restart!!!?.. Is this the right way to configure the kernel of a SOLARIS env.? Can anyone give me the procedures in modifying the kernel params of solaris..
thank's & regards.,

Re: Kernel Configuration....
Hi,
Yes you are right, create a backup of your /etc/system file, edit the /etc/system file file and reboot "shutdonw -i 6 -y -g 0" or "init 6".
Best regards,
Robert-Jan
