L1000 NIC's

Is it possible to have multiple NIC cards installed with separate ip addresses? I need to acquire an additional card for my L1000 if it will let me use the same port numbers but be isolated via the ip address for some of our product testing.

If this is possible, is there a certain NIC I should use with the L1000? Thanks

Re: L1000 NIC's

Hi Nick,

Sure - you can have multiple NICs with different IPs. You just don't want those IPs in the same subnet.

Rgds,
Jeff

YEs , it is possible to have multiple NIC cards on L1000 but not in the same network segment unless using APA or service guard .

Re: L1000 NIC's

Yes you can have multiple IP's as long you use different subnets. The recommended card is product number A4929A which is a PCI card which can be used up 1000BaseT
If you were thinking of using the same subnet, I recommend looking at the APA product (auto port aggregation)
