L1000A or L1000B

How do I know which revision I have?
STM lists a product number of A5576A.
Do I need to physically look at the motherboard?

Re: L1000A or L1000B

Another way would be to run CSTM and run the following commands:

sel all
info
il

View the log and look for the SYS_BD entry. You will see the part number of the board. Here is an "A" version example:

FRUID Field ascii hex

Re: L1000A or L1000B

I went to partsurfer first, but still couldn't see how you determine if it is the A or B revision (unless you are talking about the A at the end of the part number).
What does the B version look like in CSTM?
How about telling between a L3000 revision A versus revision B?

Re: L1000A or L1000B

For the L1000/2000 (rp5400/5450) there are two system boards, Rev A and B as you know. The model of the server will be either A5576A or A5576B (or A5191A or A5191B) and that will tell you the revision.

The rev A board supports 360mhz and 440mhz processors and has a part number of A5191-69x01 (or A5191-60001).

The rev B boards supports 360/440 and 550mhz processors and has a part number of A5191-69x16.

For the L3000 or L1500 (rp5470/5430) there is a similar difference.

The rev A board supports 550mhz processors and as a part number of A6144-69x01.

The rev B board adds support for the PA-8700 650/750/875mhz processors and has a part number of A6797-69x01.
