L2000 New Processor

If I want to add a fourth CPU in a L2000-44 server, Do I need to install a Processor Support Module?
Thanks for your response.

Re: L2000 New Processor

Hi,

NO - not if you already have three CPUs.
You need a support module for every 2 CPUs.
So with 3 CPUs you already have the 2 modules.
IF you only have 2 CPUs then yes - you'll most likely need another module.

Re: L2000 New Processor

No..
As already mentioned by jeff, Every processor support module takes on 2 processor.
NOw since you have already 3 processor that means you have 2 PSM's and they are capable of handling 4 processors.
