Not sure myself but the current quote page only shows new A5191Bs & remarketed A5191ARs.
I suspect the difference is in firmware or support boards. They're both 360/440/550 PA8600 systems. Same slots, CPU count & max memory.

Solution# model
The A5191A shows .. 900/800/L2000-36
The A5191B shows .. 900/800/L2000-5X
I think hardware-wise there are identical (as mentioned by Jeff). The difference could be in the architecture revision level of the PA-RISC chip (though using the same 8600 chip). This is just a guess, don't take my word for it.

These ARE different! The A version supports only 360 and 440MHz CPUs, the other supports 360, 440 and 540MHz CPUs.
