Re: L3000 Tombstone

Hi Tommy,

Normaly when a tombstone ts99 is created it's a hardware issue.
The best way to look is at the gsp and then look at the log files there it will say exactly when it went wrong.
Is there also a new core file in /var/adm/crash because hp want to have this to analyse this.

If the date of tombstone in the first (most recent) HPMC, matches the date of the
last reboot, then you have a reboot caused by an HPMC: This implies
a hardware error. Call HP.

If you have a panic with NO HPMC, then you have a software induced
panic, and you should make a software call and look at the DUMP in
/var/adm/crash.

Re: L3000 Tombstone

Hi Tommy,

The ts99 file has HPMC as on jan 17, 2006. It most probably points to your core IO card
(I maybe wrong).

But the best way to go forward is to log a call with HP. They will help you to identify the reason for this HPMC.

With regards,
Mohan.

Hi Tommy

If you get tombstone ts99, HPMC (High Priority Machine Check, normally because of hardware error. Send the file to HP response centre

Re: L3000 Tombstone

Hi,

it looks like the problem was caused by the PCI card in slot 10.

Mario.
