Re: LCD fault codes for D-class

Hi,

5002 - Bus transaction errors.
CBF0 - HPMC occured
CBF1 & CBFC - OS didn't load.

Look like you have corrupted OS.
Try to boot from alternate disk if boot/root
mirrored.

else try to boot from support CD and run diag.

Re: LCD fault codes for D-class

Hi there,

Based on the document on this url below :

http://www.docs.hp.com/hpux/pdf/A3262-90013.pdf

See chapter 6-9 about 'LCD-Indicated Problems' on pages 96

The FLT means a hardware error has been detected. So better you log call to HP and they will analyse this for you.

Hope this information can help you.

Re: LCD fault codes for D-class

Hi there,

May I know the model of your D-class machine ? You can run the 'model' command to check it.

If you have 'D-Class' service manual, you can identified the cause of this message.

Hope this information can help you.

Re: LCD fault codes for D-class

So the HPMC error means you are failing from a hardware detected problem.

At bootup, do the following:

grep HPMC /var/tombstones/ts99

See if you have any codes that look significantly different from thsoe above (like 2xxx or 7xxx).

If you get a 2xxx then the CPU that logged it needs to be replaced.

Anything other then that will probably require a call to HPQ HW support.
