Re: MP events in rp8420

Guru:

Isn't this a is normal behavior when the MP is reset while the Partitions are still running their NOS. The MP loses communication with the partitions and will
not regain the correct status until the Partitions are rebooted.

Re: MP events in rp8420

Do you have a version of GNU sysstat or mpstat on a network linux server? (* wild guess *)

Re: MP events in rp8420

Hi Guru,

these messages are normal. They show that the MP is still alive and give a better understanding of a whole MP log (most MP logs don't have a timestamp associated with it).

The Alert Level is 2 - Informational.

No fault or attention LED will lit due to these messages. You can simply ignore them (you only have to worry if they are missing on your rp8420)

best regards

Stefan

Re: MP events in rp8420

I have three models of servers:
rp8420
rp7420
rp3440

I am only seeing these messages appear on our rp7420.

If these messages are so normal why am I not seeing them on the other two servers, in particular our rp8420 which the orignator of this thread owns.

Regards

Matt
