MP hangs

Hi everyone,

In our montvale superdome we have 8 cell boards.
In that 4 are Itanium and 4 are PA-RISC cell boards.
We have created 4 npars.
2 npars are itanium with 2 cell boards each.
2 npars are PA-RISC with 2 cell boards each.
We have installed hpux 11i v2 in itanium npars
and hpux 11i v1 in PA-RISC npars.
The issue is i am not getting the console in one of PA-RISC npar. And cpus are allocated fully in that npar. But if i remove one cpu from one vpar of that npar i could get the console. But all the cpus shud be allocated.

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Do you talk about the MON> prompt by chance?

I am able to get the MON prompt but after i boot all the virtual partitions i am unable to get the console, it hangs.

So from the MON prompt when you are trying to access the Consoles of the VPARs then the consoles are hanging??

Or is that a hane of the Superdome Console (MP/GSP Console) of the Variuous NPARS.


what i mean to ask is the Console(s) of the VPARS that is catered by the MON on an NPAR is hanging or the various NPAR consoles that are availble on the MP/GSP of the SD is hanging?

I am able to access the other NPARS but not able to access the vaprs in only one NPAR.
