Re: Management processor password

If you need to reset - there is a reset switch on the back of most systems on the MP - which will clear the cmos, ip, passwords.

Default login is: Admin with password Admin

On some systems, you have to remove the cover to reset the MP.

If you know the password, then once in, goto cm menu, then so - Configure Security Options and Access Control

Re: Management processor password

I don't see any sub menu any configuration option there after I enter CM. Am I missing something?

Re: Management processor password

The MP passwords are specific for each user account, and there can be several. After going to Command Menu (CM), select UC for User Configuration. It will allow you to edit the features of the user account(s), including the password.

If you want to see all the commands available in the Command Menu, type "HE LI" for HElp, LIst of commands. You can also just type HE for HElp and follow the prompts.

Re: Management processor password

Thanks! I did CM and then UC. After that its not giving any option to alter the password.

Enter number for more detail, or [Q] to Quit: 1

Re: Management processor password

Now press C, "Change the current user", and it will ask you which thing you wish to change.
At that point, you can choose to change the password.
