Re: Manuals for I70 E35/55 ?

That's great Jesse!!

I am sure I can take that help. Would you mind scanning those pages and email me to rccmumbai123 at rediffmail dot com please?

The pages information sounds useful. I think scanning them is a good idea to preserve them yes?

Thank you..

Re: Manuals for I70 E35/55 ?

An e- or i- class server is the pre-pre-pre-... predecessor of current systems - what in ... do you want to achieve with this dinosaur ... ?

Please guide me in **your** direction!

There are companies going to discard the great-grant-...-grandchildren of this family of servers ... because of the age.

When this machines were state of the art, people were using a 286 PC ... please, please clarify!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Manuals for I70 E35/55 ?

Torsten,

There are few of these systems I know of running in the production and in other use even these days. Interesting thing is that recently HP had a contest to reward customers running HPUX on an oldest box like these.
Too bad HP doesn't have a courtesy to make the docs of these servers available on the public domain. I don't have any doubt about having pdf/hmtl document created/converted by HP (internally atleast) sometime after these technologies were available. But then why not share with the customers?

Now talking about these systems as dinosaurs which are barely just 20 years old, we human still trying to know the the real dinosaurs evolution, survival and extinction who are millions years old. Isn't that interesting?

Thanks to Jesse who is kind enough to share whatever he has.
