Max FC-HBA and PCI Slot Capabilities for rp8420 and rp7400 Servers
Anyone knows:
1.) Maximum number of FC-HBAs supported on rp7400 and rp8420?
2.) On rp8420 - which slots are "proper" for FC-HBAs (2G or Combo GigE/2GFC)
3.)On rp7400- which slots are "proper" for FC-HBAs (2G or Combo GigE/2GFC)
Thanks!

Thanks Joshua!,
We'll be hitting that count on a rp7400 that serves as our backup server (to push the split mirrors to 2ndary storage - tape/VTL/SATA)..
Will the remaining slots be able to handle GigE/1000BT cards?

Re: Max FC-HBA and PCI Slot Capabilities for rp8420 and rp7400 Servers
I've never seen or heard of an issue with rp7400s and GigE cards. I don't know if they support the combo cards because the rp7400/N4000 server does not accept PCI-X cards (as far as I know).
