Re: Memory Part Number

Will I be able to do this over a web console

As it looks like the only way I will get the

info without attending site

Interupt boot process and then get details

Now Reboot the server and Press any Key to interrupt the boot process and log on to BCH

In BCH menu go to the Information menu by entering Info then type all to dump all the part details.

Re: Memory Part Number

As suggested in your other thread on this topic, try Partsurfer:

http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?type=PROD&SearchText=A3560A

Partsurfer tells us that your D370 could have contain the following DIMMs:

A3499A 64MB ECC memory upgrade kit - Includes two 32MB DIMM modules
NO LONGER SUPPLIED Original
A3408A 128MB ECC memory upgrade kit - Includes two 64MB SIMM modules
NO LONGER SUPPLIED Original
A3564A 256MB memory upgrade kit - Includes two 128MB DIMM modules
NO LONGER SUPPLIED

Re: Memory Part Number

Hi Richard,

The fru command is used to display the field replaceable unit (FRU) information for the processors and dual
in-line memory modules (DIMMs). This information includes the part number, serial number, revision, and
physical location of the FRU. The fru command is available in the Information Menu of the Boot Console
Handler (BCH).
Information for the other FRUs in the system can be obtained using the Guardian Service Processor (GSP)
DF command.

syntax:

FRU Display the FRU information for all the processors
and all the memory DIMMS in the partition
FRU Display the FRU information for all the processors
and all the memory DIMMs for the specified cell
FRU [CPU|MEM] Display the FRU information for the processors or
or memory DIMMs on the specified cell
Short form of the command: fru

Examples:
Information Menu: Enter command > fru 0
CELL 0 CPU FRU INFORMATION:
Cab/
Slot/ Part Serial Date Art Scan FRU Specific
CPU FRU Name Number Number Code Rev Rev Information

Re: Memory Part Number

It's a d-class server - there is NO Guardian Service Processor (GSP)...

Hope this helps!

Re: Memory Part Number

If you have a secure web console (grey box that translates between LAN and serial) you can try to access the BCH during boot.

But I'm not really sure if you find what you are looking for.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
