Re: Memory in rp8400 rp8420

The memory that is in the rp8400 will also work in the rp8420. The 1gb dimm part number for both is A6098-69101. Hope this helps!

sounds good....I am assuming this applies to the 4GB modules as well?

Re: Memory in rp8400 rp8420

4gb dimms? I checked the parts page for the rp8400 and 8420 and the max dimm size I could find is for a 2gb dimm. And these are the same as well.

Re: Memory in rp8400 rp8420

According to the configurator, the rp8400 can have the following *modules*:
1GB = 256MB DIMM
2GB = 512MB DIMM
4GB = 1024MB DIMM
8GB = 2048MB DIMM

The rp8420 on partsurfer lists the same memory PNs as for the rp8400.

Re: Memory in rp8400 rp8420

There is a new cell controller for the rp8420, so that you can get up to 16GB/sec bandwidth to memory which is 2X that of the rp8400.
