Re: Memory on a N4000 and L1000

My chart shows 8GB on the L1000 and 32GB on the N4000.

Re: Memory on a N4000 and L1000

Hi,

Pete's correct on the older L & N class systems, but the newest (and probably final) member of the L-class family, the rp5470, can hold up to 16Gb RAM using the 2GB DIMM modules.

Jeff
You however you speak of a 5470 that can entertain a greater number of CPU and memory
I have a L1000 with a limit of 2 CPU and I thinks smaller ram

Yes - that's correct. An rp5470 is essentially an L3000. And your L1000 can be upgraded to the rp5470 which does have 4 CPU and 16 GB RAM limits.

To get the maximum memory on an N4000 you need all four memory carriers.

Re: Memory on a N4000 and L1000

Also remember that in L1000 slots 4a/b to 7a/b are disabled. So you have to use 2GB DIMMS to achieve 8GB. I already tried this. Though slots available physically, only half the slots available for use.
