N-class boot error
I've recently having boot error on my N-class server. The error is
Alert level 4 = unexpected configuration change detected
Source 8 = I/O
Source Detail: 3 = Local bus adapter source id: F
Problem Detail: 3 = function failure
Caller Activity: 2 = Config status: 3
Caller Subactivity: 04 = Implementation dependent
Reporting Entity Type: 0 = System firmware reporting Entity id : 01
0x2000104383FF2043 000202FF FF0CFF83 type 4 = physical location
0x5800184383FF2043 00006A01 070C2635 type 11 = timestamp 02/07/2006
I've did a diag on the cards that was attached to the I/O slots and they all work fine..
Would be gratefull if you guys can tell me whats those errors means.. And thanks in advanced

Can you also give the error log of your gsp.
This is not enough to say whats wrong.
Also can you do an ioscan and give the output.
Futher more are your disk ok.

may be a io slot problem
check ioscan for disks and controllers

With the information you provided i can do nothing.
It has something to do with a hardware device on bus 0x20. and it can be a problem with to old firmware.
but more then that i can't say.

There is only these two errors that on my GSP.. But they both almost look the same and says something wrong with the I/O,Configuration and Firmware
Alert level 6 = Boot possible, pending failure - action required
Source 8 = I/O
Source Detail: = Local bus adapter source id: FF
Problem Detail: 6 = congifuration error
Caller Activity: 2 = Config status: 4
Caller Subactivity: 16 = Implementation dependent
Reporting Entity Type: 0 = System firmware reporting Entity id : 01

From what i found and read your PDC (Processor Dependent Code) have to be upgraded.
You must install patch PHSS_30724.
See link.
After the install your problem should be gone.
