N4000 CPU Upgrade

My customer has the following server:

Base Product A3639B
Processor Product A5866A
Model N4000 550Mhz
System model: 9000/800/N4000-55
Serial number: GBM41147TM
Software ID: 600379372
Total processors:8
Active processors:4
Inactive processors that can be activated:4
Inactive processors that cannot be activated:0
Deconfigured processors:0
Requested active processors:4

Could help how to activate the 4 CPU?

Re: N4000 CPU Upgrade

Good morning!

When the system is booting, stop at PDC, (by hitting the space bar when it asks you if you want to interrupt the boot...you have 10 seconds.)

At the main menu, I think it's the service menu. Type 'ser' to get there, and one of the options is to configure cpu's.

If it's not in the service menu, type 'ma' to get back to the main menu, and 'co' to get to the configuration menu.

Hope this helps.

Ok...I found it!!

At the MAin menu, type 'co' to get to the COnfiguration menu. From there, type CPU, and it will show you which cpu's are Config/Deconfig'd, and then re-config the down cpu's.

Let me know if this helps!!
