N4000 crashed since upgraded from 6 to 8 procs

Software analyse points to different proc
each time (proc 4 5 6), TSxx points also
to those procs .
Processors and motherboard replaced with
no success.
Heard that could be some extra power needed !
Any clue on this ?

Thank you
Didier

Hi Didier,

You probably need a trim card installed.
This is a known issue with 8 CPU N-class systems.
Log a HW call with the Response Center to have them check if one's installed & install one if not.
We've had to install them in over a dozen systems here.

HTH,
Jeff

I will have HP to check this.
Thanks a lot Jeff.

Re: N4000 crashed since upgraded from 6 to 8 procs

hi,

What revision is the n4000 server?A,B,C?

It may need the trim card as jeff has stated, but this is only needed in the B revision n class.
The part number for the card is A3629-60026.

Without this card you get issues with processor 6 and 8
