I have a scenario where I'm hoping to connect an N4000 to two storage devices.
This I wish to achieve using the A5158A (1GB)PCI Tachyon TL/TS Fibre Channel card and A6795A (2GB) PCI Tachyon XL2 Adapter card. Installing the cards on different controllers would accomodate for High Availability.
Although both of the cards are listed as supported in HP documentation, I wanted to ensure whether the implementation of both cards together on an N4000 system is SUPPORTED for the HP-UX 11i operating system.
Thanks and Regards,
-Alvi

Re: N4000 supportability for FC cards on HP-UX 11i
I can't think of a reaeson why it would not be supported. You will need PDC version 41.46.

SolutionHP supports coexistence of FC cards that are supported in the same system, of course you need to use a fw revision according to your config.
See the FC support matrix at
http://docs.hp.com/en/FC_SM/FC_SM.htm
(min firmware revisions are specified)
