Need part number for a cable.

To connect and convert from a LVD SCSI card in an L2000 to a 50 PIN SCSI cable that come with one of those CD=RW devcies for HP-9000 server. I finally have a spare card in my box, didn't want to daily chain the thing on my Ultrium drive, plus I still need the right cable.

10 points for the first verifiable part number( I need a link or something)

8 points for anything that does the same job but isn't a link copy.

Everybody gets something for trying.

Re: Need part number for a cable.

Hi,

Please post exact cable whoc you are looking for!
I understand your CDRW has 50 low density.
You are daisy chaining from 68 pin HD to 50pin LD
using cable C5665A or equivalent.

Are you looking for cable which has 68pin VHD to 50pin LD?

Re: Need part number for a cable.

Hi the cable from vhdci to 50 pin is a C2368A
and I have one in my hand with the label written on the side. If however it is wide 68 pin to 50 pin the cable reference is C2906A and I have one of those also. Can send a photo if needed

Re: Need part number for a cable.

50 pin side is a Plextor Plexwriter PX-W1210SE.

The other end of the cable needs to connect to this:

SCSI C895 Ultra Wide LVD

For full points, please provide a link to the a cable that meets this specification.

Re: Need part number for a cable.

Hi Stephen, have checked on Google for your cdrw drive and all it says is "scsi". I am enclosing the photos of the 2 cables showing both connectors. I think that the black one is what you need, and as it is an HP cable it will be of the best quality, and that is the C2368A

Re: Need part number for a cable.

it looks like if you are going from an A5149A/A5150A PCI LVD SCSI card in your L box to some type of HP SMART storage product (CD-R) you will need the C2368A, like Malvin said. I took a snap shot of the specs on that cable and attached it. And, the C3268A is a supported cable for the A5149A/A5150A PCI LVD SCSI card.

Re: Need part number for a cable.

Cable is ordered. Next time I'll do the post before I order the wrong part.

Thanks again.
