Re: Need the Part Nos of installed memory and HDD of running HP System
the L2000 has 8 slot pairs (DIMMS are installed in pairs, one pair is a "module")
run
# echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog"|cstm > /tmp/meminfo
# cat /tmp/meminfo*
There you will see the currently installed DIMMS, size and slots.
For part nos. to to

Re: Need the Part Nos of installed memory and HDD of running HP System
You have 4 256 MB DIMM's
A5554A 256MB ECC DIMM high-density memory upgrade kit - Includes two 128MB SDRAM DIMM modules
A5797A 512MB ECC DIMM high-density memory upgrade kit - Includes two 256MB SDRAM DIMM modules
A5798A 1024MB ECC DIMM high-density memory upgrade kit - Includes two 512MB SDRAM DIMM modules
A6114A 2048MB ECC DIMM high-density memory upgrade kit - Includes two 1024MB SDRAM DIMM modules
A6115A 2048MB ECC high-density memory upgrade kit - Includes two 1024MB SDRAM DIMM modules
above are the part numbers for the upgarde dimms, you will need to add 2 X 1024 MB.

Re: Need the Part Nos of installed memory and HDD of running HP System
I would suggest u better go for fresh memory, don't use the old one.
A6114A is the partno 1024MB * 2.
Check up http://partsurfer.hp.com.I think offeres are available with buyback of old memory

Re: Need the Part Nos of installed memory and HDD of running HP System
For best performance with any HP-UX system. Go for as many DIMMS as possible. The memory in PA-RISC and HP Integrity servers is interlaced (striped) and the more stripes the better performance. You can get a huge increase in memory bandwidth if you were to use 8 256Gb DIMMs it would give you the best performance. Obviously it would reduce your ability to further expand in the future.
